Procedure - Maintenance Weekly Task

Section: Human Resource Procedure
Procedure Owner: Ignition633 Ministries Nigeria Human Resources
Procedure Name: Maintenance Weekly Task Procedure
Origination Date: September 2024

Purpose
This procedure outlines essential daily tasks for maintaining facility equipment and systems, ensuring operational readiness, safety, and convenience for all residents. By performing these tasks regularly, we aim to prevent unexpected failures, extend the lifespan of equipment, and maintain a high level of comfort and safety across the property.

Scope
This procedure is to be followed by all maintenance personnel and covers the following tasks:

Fuel Check and Generator Battery Charging
- Check the fuel level of the small generator to ensure there is enough fuel for the generator to run smoothly.
- Start the small generator and run it for 10 to 15 minutes to charge its battery. This ensures that the generator is always ready for use in case of a power outage or emergency.

Exterior Lighting Inspection and Bulb Replacement
- Perform a thorough check of all exterior lights around the building.
- Replace any burnt-out bulbs immediately to maintain adequate lighting and security around the facility. This also helps prevent accidents due to poor visibility in outdoor areas.

Generator Hour Monitoring and Servicing
- Record the operating hours of the generator. Maintenance personnel should monitor this regularly to ensure timely servicing.
- The generator should be serviced every 300 to 500 hours of use. This includes checking oil levels, replacing filters, and performing other routine tasks to keep the generator in optimal condition and prevent breakdowns.

Water Jug Placement and Collection
- Place two full water jugs on the back porch of each residence to ensure residents have a sufficient supply of clean water.
- Collect the empty water jugs from the previous day for cleaning and refilling. This ensures that residents always have access to a steady water supply and that hygiene standards are maintained.
