Section: Human Resource Procedure
Procedure Owner: Ignition633 Ministries Nigeria Human Resources
Procedure Name: Maintenance Monthly Procedure
Origination Date: September 2024

Purpose
This maintenance monthly task procedure outlines the routine tasks required to ensure the smooth operation, cleanliness, and safety of all facilities, equipment, and grounds. The procedure aims to minimize equipment failure, improve operational efficiency, and maintain a healthy and visually appealing environment across all buildings. Regular checks and maintenance activities ensure systems function optimally and prevent potential issues from escalating into costly repairs.

Scope
This procedure applies to all maintenance personnel and covers the following key tasks:

Oiling Gate Tracks
Apply lubricant to the tracks of all gates in the facility to ensure smooth operation and prevent rust and wear. This task helps avoid operational difficulties and extends the lifespan of the gates.

Spraying Grass and Compound
Regularly spray herbicide on the grass in the compound to control weed growth, ensuring a neat and well-maintained environment. Additionally, spraying insecticide helps prevent the proliferation of harmful insects and pests within the compound.

Insect Control
Spray all building areas, including corners, vents, and common spaces, with appropriate insecticides to control insects and other pests. This ensures the facility remains safe and free from infestations.

Cleaning Air Conditioner Filters
Clean the filters of every AC unit, including those in personal bedrooms and common areas of all buildings. This ensures efficient cooling, improves air quality, and prevents the buildup of dust and allergens. A regular cleaning schedule will also reduce energy consumption.

Water Tank Treatment
Add water treatment chemicals to the full tank to maintain water quality for drinking and other uses. This prevents contamination and ensures the water supply meets health and safety standards.

Inspection of Unoccupied Buildings
Perform routine inspections of unoccupied buildings, checking that:
- All air conditioning units are functioning correctly.
- All lights are operational.
- There are no plumbing issues, such as leaks or clogged drains.

This ensures the buildings are in optimal condition and ready for immediate use when needed.

Plumbing Checks
Inspect bathrooms, kitchens, and other water sources for any signs of leaks, water pressure issues, or blockages. Address any problems immediately to prevent water damage or hygiene issues.
