Section: Human Resource Policies
Policy Owner: Ignition633 Ministries Nigeria Human Resources
Policy Name: Monthly Task Policy
Origination Date: November 2024

Purpose
To handle maintenance activities that need less frequent attention, ensuring the grounds are well-kept, safe, and attractive. These tasks help fix issues, prepare for seasonal changes, and maintain high-quality outdoor spaces within the Ministry.

Scope
Includes performing maintenance activities that go beyond daily or weekly routines. These tasks involve deep cleaning of outdoor areas, inspecting and repairing irrigation systems, fertilizing lawns and plants, trimming trees and larger shrubs, and managing pest control in Ministry.

Definition
Monthly: refers to something that occurs, is done, or is repeated once every month.
Tasks: are specific activities or duties that need to be completed to achieve a goal or fulfill a responsibility.

Monthly Task Policy
The supervisor will assign monthly and quarterly tasks to the groundskeeper. These are the quarterly tasks that the Groundskeeper must perform to ensure the safety and hygiene of the Campus and its residents.

Pest Control
As Groundskeeper, you treat the Campus for pests and rodents. Meet with your supervisor to draft a pest control plan to prevent snakes, rodents, insects, etc., from entering or infesting the Campus and spraying the necessary insecticides and pesticides.

Cleaning
Carry out a deep cleaning on the Campus. Deep cleaning could involve washing or thoroughly cleaning exterior surfaces. For example, window nets, lamp holders, bulb covers, AC covers, removing cobwebs from outer ceiling extensions, etc.

Wash Water Tanks
Wash the water tanks to protect against bacteria, Spirogyra, and other harmful microorganisms that can affect human skin. If the water supplied needs to be treated, ensure that they are treated at the appropriate time.

Waste Disposal
Please make sure that the exterior part of the Campus is kept clean and free from foul smells by letting your supervisor know whenever the BENSESA waste bin is due for disposal.

Inspect
Inspect the surrounding fence to ensure all protective wires and lights function as they should. If they are not, contact your supervisor as soon as possible.
