Purpose
To establish clear expectations for the quality and consistency of work performed. These standards ensure that the grounds are maintained to a high level of cleanliness, safety, and attractiveness, reflecting the Ministry's values and mission.

Scope
It includes the specific criteria for maintaining the grounds, such as cleanliness, safety, and beauty. It outlines expectations for tasks like lawn care, landscaping, trash removal, plant care, and safety inspections, ensuring they meet the Ministry's quality levels.

Definition
Standards: are established guidelines or criteria that define the expected level of quality, performance, or behavior for a particular task, product, or service. 

Standards Policy
You are responsible for maintaining the constant upkeep and cleanliness of the buildings, amenities, and grounds you oversee. This is critical for the ministry because the property's appearance is a guest's first impression. Groundskeepers are the reason why the campus grounds will stay so immaculate.

Landscaping
Landscaping is the process of designing and maintaining outdoor spaces. You will use landscaping skills to create attractive outdoor areas for the ministry's properties. This can include planting trees, shrubs, and flowers and creating paths and other structures (communicate with your supervisor to know when or if this is necessary). It is essential to understand different types of plants and how they grow to maintain these outdoor spaces effectively.

Time Management
Time management is the ability to plan and execute tasks in a way that ensures you meet your deadlines. As a groundskeeper, it is essential to manage your time well so you can complete all of your duties on time.

Attention to Detail
Attention to detail is a skill that can help you perform your job well. For example, as a groundskeeper, you may need to track several tasks simultaneously and ensure they all get done. You also might be responsible for maintaining the outdoor space's appearance, so paying close attention to how things look throughout the season is essential. For example, if you mow the grass weekly, notice when the grass grows too long or weeds start to grow in patches.

Flexibility
Flexibility is the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. For example, your work can vary depending on weather conditions, time of year, and other factors. Being flexible allows you to adjust your duties accordingly.
