Purpose
To ensure smooth coordination, reporting, and collaboration with staff, Ministry leaders, and contractors. Clear communication helps resolve issues quickly, provides updates on maintenance tasks, and ensures the grounds meet the Ministry's standards.

Scope
Includes regular updates on the status of maintenance tasks, reporting any issues or concerns related to the grounds, and coordinating with the Ministry's leaders or other staff regarding scheduled work or events.

Definition
Communication: is the process of exchanging information, ideas, or messages between individuals or groups.

Communication Policy
Communication is paramount to your job description because you must always communicate with three prominent people. They are; your Supervisor, Campus Director, team members, co-workers, and suppliers.

Communicate with your Supervisor and Campus Director
The groundskeeper employee must have strong communication skills when managing day-to-day activities. It’s pertinent to know that actively listening to your supervisor's instructions and communicating effectively regarding any situation guarantees smooth operation.

Communicate with Team Members
Effective verbal communication is also essential when working with other groundskeeping staff to ensure everyone understands their roles and tasks. In the future, you will work with a team of other groundskeepers to keep properties looking beautiful and clean. You need communication skills to be given assignments, report your progress, and receive assignments.

Communicate with Co-workers
Effective communication is essential to build a healthy work relationship with your co-workers. You need to greet co-workers nicely when doing your job or during walk-throughs and be able to communicate when things are wrong. This skill will enable you to address issues and make adjustments properly.
