Purpose
To maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment on the ministry's premises. Proper removal of waste enhances the aesthetic appeal of the grounds, prevents health hazards, and supports the ministry's commitment to stewardship and excellence. It also ensures that outdoor spaces remain functional and pleasant daily operations.

Scope
It includes the routine collection, disposal, and management of waste across the ministry's premises. This encompasses outdoor areas such as lawns, gardens, parking lots, pathways, and entrances, as well as maintenance of trash bins and designated disposal areas.

Definition
Trash: refers to waste material or unwanted items that are discarded because they are no longer useful, valuable, or needed. It can include a variety of materials such as paper, plastic, food scraps, packaging, or broken objects. 
Debris: refers to scattered fragments or remnants of something that has been broken, destroyed, or discarded. 
Removal: is the act of taking something away or eliminating it from a particular place or position.

Your primary role is to ensure that the outdoor areas are clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing. Here are some common responsibilities of a groundskeeper employee:

Trash and Debris Removal Policy
- Landscaping
 Groundskeepers are responsible for landscaping tasks, including mowing lawns, trimming hedges and trees, planting flowers, shrubs, and other vegetation, and maintaining the overall appearance of the landscape.

- Lawn Care
 They mow and edge lawns, apply fertilizers and pesticides, and water and aerate the turf to ensure healthy and well-maintained grass.

- Plant Care
 Groundskeepers may be responsible for planting, watering, and maintaining flower beds, gardens, and other plantings. This includes weeding, mulching, and pruning plants as needed.

- Irrigation Maintenance
They inspect, repair, and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper functioning and efficient water usage.

- Trash and Debris Removal Groundskeepers clean up trash, litter, leaves, and other debris from outdoor areas to maintain cleanliness and safety.

- Safety Inspection
Ground Keepers inspect and maintain equipment and tools to ensure safety, reporting any damage or malfunctions to the supervisor immediately.

- Record keeping
They maintain records of maintenance activities, including work performed, materials used, and equipment maintenance, for tracking purposes.
