Purpose
To ensure that the outdoor spaces are consistently maintained, clean, and safe on a day-to-day basis. These tasks support the overall appearance, functionality, and safety of the grounds, helping to create a welcoming environment for staff and visitors. Daily tasks contribute to the Ministry's commitment to excellence and providing a conducive space within Ministry.
Scope
Includes routine maintenance activities such as mowing the lawn, watering plants, trimming shrubs, removing trash and debris, and ensuring walkways and entrances are clean and safe. It also involves checking irrigation systems for proper functioning, inspecting outdoor areas for hazards, and addressing any immediate concerns.
Definition
Daily: refers to something that occurs, is done, or is repeated every day. It is used to describe activities, tasks, or routines that happen on a regular, day-to-day basis.
Tasks: are specific activities or duties that need to be completed, often as part of a larger goal or responsibility.
Daily Tasks Policy
Groundskeeping involves activities that keep outdoor areas clean, beautiful and orderly. Your daily tasks include but are not limited to:
Litter
Collect and pick up garbage, debris, and brush from the ground. Items such as trash, debris, and inappropriately placed items should be removed and put in the designated areas.
Trash Bin
Collect trash bins from each building twice per day, once at 9:00 am and once at 4 pm. All garbage in containers should be in a trash bag before being thrown into the receptacle.
Recycling
Collect recycling from bins from each building twice per day, once at 9:00 am. and once at 4:00 pm. All recycling should be collected and put in the proper receptacle. Recycling bottles will be given to our Outreach Director and donated to those in need.
Generator
Run a routine check on the generator during your shift. Monitor the light, and as soon as it goes off, put on the generator and be alert to change to NEPA once the light is restored. Keep the generator area clean with all items and call your supervisor immediately when something is not working correctly.
Water Supply
Always do your best to ensure that, there is enough water on Campus. You must communicate with the maintenance Supervisor when there is no more water to pump. If you notice something isn't functioning as it should, please inform your supervisor or the Campus Director as soon as possible.

This policy will be reviewed annually and is subject to change. Any changes will be communicated to all employees promptly.
