Purpose
The Daily Maintenance Tasks Procedure aims to ensure the routine upkeep and operational readiness of critical systems and equipment by setting clear daily responsibilities for maintenance staff. This procedure aims to maintain proper fluid levels in tanks, ensure cleanliness, and manage maintenance requests efficiently.
Scope
This procedure applies to all maintenance personnel responsible for daily checks and upkeep of water tanks, generators, fuel levels, and office spaces.
Daily Maintenance Procedure
Check and Fill the Water Tank Daily
- Inspect the water tank daily to ensure the water level does not drop below half capacity.
- If the water level is low, begin the filling process immediately.
Important:
- Do not walk away while the tank is being filled.
- You must remain by the tank to monitor the process and prevent overfilling or accidents.
- Only turn off the valve once the tank is full and you have verified that the filling has stopped.
Failure to comply with this instruction will lead to serious corrective action.
Check and Fill Large Generator Daily
- Inspect the large generator’s fuel tank daily to ensure it is not below half capacity.
- If the fuel level is low, refill the tank to full.
- Do not walk away while filling the generator's tank. Remain stationed by the tank and turn off the fuel supply valve only after verifying that the filling has been completed.
Check the Fuel Level in the Storage Tank
- Inspect the fuel level in the main storage tank daily. Ensure that it does not fall below the black line marking.
- If the level approaches the black line, alert the supervisor for refueling arrangements.
- Record the current fuel level in your daily maintenance log.
Office Space Cleanliness and Organization
- Ensure your office space is always neat, orderly, and clean.
- Properly organize tools, documents, and equipment to facilitate efficient work processes.
- Empty trash bins, wipe down surfaces, and vacuum/sweep the area as needed.
Complete Scheduled Maintenance Request Forms
- Review any Maintenance Request forms assigned to you each day.
- Prioritize tasks based on urgency and complete all scheduled maintenance promptly.
- Document the actions taken and sign off on each task before submitting the completed forms.
Clean Up After Maintenance Jobs
- After completing any maintenance work, ensure the area is thoroughly cleaned.
- Dispose of waste properly, organize tools, and wipe down surfaces.
- Ensure the area is left as clean as or cleaner than before your work.
