Purpose
The purpose of the Cleaning Cart Procedure is to provide guidelines for the organized, safe, and efficient preparation and maintenance of cleaning carts. This procedure ensures that housekeeping staff have all the necessary supplies to perform their tasks, enhancing efficiency and maintaining a professional workflow. Proper cart setup contributes to the hotel’s cleanliness and guest satisfaction standards by minimizing disruptions and improving service delivery.

Scope
This procedure applies to all housekeeping staff responsible for preparing, stocking, and maintaining cleaning carts throughout their shifts. It outlines the recommended layout and inventory of essential cleaning supplies, amenities, etc. Adherence to this procedure ensures consistent readiness, safety, and professional presentation, contributing to the overall quality and standard of excellence of the Housekeeping department.

For Cleaning
- 10 white cleaning rags (2 for each toilet, 2 for shower and sink, 2 for cleaning walls, 1 for cleaning stains, 3 for general cleaning/extra)
- 2 microfiber cloths for dusting
- 1 roll of paper towels
- Mop bucket
- Mop
- Broom
- Dustpan
- Roll of trash bags
- Roll of small trash bags
- Cleaning solution
- Glass cleaner
- Duster
- Dust repellant
- Carpet cleaner/stain remover
- Carpet deodorizer
- Vacuum cleaner

For Restocking
Do not overstock items. Please only restock if necessary.
- 4 new rolls of large trash bags (1 per kitchen)
- 4 new rolls of small trash bags (1 per kitchen)
- 6 new bottles of hand soap (1 per bathroom)
- 2 bottles of dish soap (for kitchen)
- 10 boxes of tissues (1 per bedroom, 1 per bathroom, 2 per parlor)
- 6 packs of toilet paper (1 for each bathroom)

This procedure will be reviewed annually and is subject to change. Any changes will be communicated to all employees promptly.
