Purpose
To maintain a professional, organized, and hygienic workspace that reflects the values of excellence and stewardship. Clean offices foster a productive and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and stakeholders, ensuring health and safety while promoting efficiency in the organization.

Scope
Includes routine and deep cleaning of all areas within the office space. This encompasses dusting and sanitizing desks, chairs, and other furniture; cleaning floors through sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming; wiping windows, doors, and glass surfaces; and emptying waste bins in the organization.

Definition
Cleaning:
is the process of removing dirt, dust, stains, unwanted materials, and impurities from surfaces, objects, or environments. It involves using tools, equipment, and cleaning agents such as water, detergents, or disinfectants to achieve hygiene, orderliness, and a visually clean state.
Office: is a designated space or room used for administrative, professional, or clerical work.


Cleaning Offices

Daily Tasks: Offices

Bathrooms

Clean Ceiling
- Clear any cobwebs
- Pay special attention to around AC units and curtains.

Walls
- Wipe down any dirty spots on the walls
- Pay special attention to fixtures such as light switches, AC switches, and doorknobs.
- Pay Special attention to the wall near the hand towel

Dust Surfaces
- Gently move any personal items to dust all open surfaces. Place personal items back where they were.

Clean
- Clean bathroom mirror, ledge, and soap dispenser.

Sanitize
- Sink (including faucet) and toilet (top, bottom, sides).

Restock
- Check soap, tissue, and toilet paper supply. Refill if necessary. Replace the hand towel with a clean one.

Rugs
- Shake out rugs outside. Vacuum & clean any stains.

Trash
- Collect trash, clean trashcan, and replace trash bag.

Floors
- Sweep, scrub & mop floors.

Offices
- Take out the trash and replace liner
- Sweep the floor

Daily Tasks: Communal Building

Office
Trash
- Collect trash, clean trashcan, and replace trash bag.
- Floors: Sweep.

Bathrooms (Staff Bathroom and Office bathroom)

Clean Ceiling
- Clear any cobwebs Pay special attention to around AC units and curtains.

Walls
- Wipe down any dirty spots on the walls
- Pay special attention to fixtures such as light switches, AC switches, and doorknobs.
- Pay Special attention to the wall near the hand towel

Dust Surfaces 
- Gently move any personal items to dust all open surfaces. Place personal items back where they were.

Clean
- Clean bathroom mirror, ledge, and soap dispenser.

Sanitize
- Sink (including faucet) and toilet (top, bottom, sides).

Restock
- Check soap, tissue, and toilet paper supply. Refill if necessary.

Hand Towel
Replace the hand towel with a clean one.

Trash
- Collect trash, clean trashcan, and replace trash bag.

Floors
- Sweep, scrub & mop floors.

Daily Tasks: Communal Building

Offices

- Clean any cobwebs/dust on walls, ceiling, & behind AC and curtains.
- Dust all surfaces (desktop, bookcases, picture frames, etc...)
- Take out the trash and replace liner
- Sweep the floor

Dining Room

- Clean any cobwebs/dust on walls, ceiling, & behind AC and curtains.
- Sanitize switches: light, electric, & AC.
- Wipe down the table and chairs.
- Dust all surfaces.
- Shake out rugs outside (wash if necessary).
- Sweep & mop the floors.

Bathrooms

- Clean any cobwebs/dust on walls, ceiling, & behind AC and curtains.
- Wipe down any dirty spots on the walls (especially by hand towel).
- Clean bathroom mirror and ledge.
- Dust shelf and toilet paper holder.
- Sanitize faucet, sink, and soap dispenser.
- Check soap, tissue, and toilet paper supply. Refill if necessary.
- Replace the hand towel with a clean one.
- Clean toilet (top, bottom, and sides).
- Sweep, scrub & mop floors.
- Sanitize switches (heater and light).
- Collect trash (clean trashcan if necessary).
