Purpose
This policy establishes clear expectations and guidelines for employee conduct and responsibilities in the workplace, ensuring operational efficiency, security, and safety. By outlining these standards, we seek to maintain a professional environment, safeguard our assets, and uphold the values of integrity and responsibility within our organization.

Scope
This policy applies to all Housekeeping staff and any other employees or personnel involved in using the facility, handling purchases, and adhering to Thousand Hills Empowerment Foundation (THEF) safety protocols. It covers expectations related to timeliness, task management, facility use, purchase procedures, theft prevention, and safety measures. All individuals within the scope of this policy are required to comply with these guidelines to ensure a smooth, secure, and efficient operation of our services and facilities.

Policy Statement
Timely
Arriving on time to work and from breaks is critically essential. Contact your supervisor in advance if you are running late or can not come to work. Corrective actions will be taken if you are tardy or absent without notice.

No Idle Hands
Stay focused and on task during work hours. If you are without a task, please show initiative and ask for direction from your supervisor. Ephesians 5:15-16. Please be stationed in the Housekeeping office when you are not working in a residence/office space.

Facility
No persons other than trained Housekeeping staff are permitted to use any Housekeeping machines/equipment. Only linens and clothes from residences, Ministry visitors, and approved staff uniforms can be washed in the Ministry's facility.

Purchases
Your supervisor must approve all material purchases. Items must be purchased on the same day funds are released. All purchases require a receipt. Receipts and changes must be turned in on the same day of purchase. Purchases should accurately be reflected on the Inventory Form.

Theft Prevention
No materials from our facility are to be taken home. Inventory checks, CCTV, and security checks are in place to prevent theft upon entry and exit.

Safety
For your safety and the safety of others, you are required to follow all protocols and safety procedures.
