Section: Human Resource Policies
Policy Owner: Ignition633 Ministries Nigeria Human Resources
Policy Name: Noise Policy
Origination Date: January 2025
Purpose
This policy ensures a productive and distraction-free environment where employees can focus and work effectively.
Scope
This policy applies to all employees and visitors of the organization and covers conversations, phone calls, and music.
Policy Statement
Quiet and Professional Conversations
Conversations in the office should be conducted calmly, respectfully, and professionally at all times. We encourage employees to engage in discussions that are necessary for work purposes and to keep personal conversations at a minimum. Be mindful of the volume of your voice for the comfort of all employees, and avoid loud exchanges that may disrupt the concentration of others.
Music in the Workplace
Music can be a personal choice and is acceptable only if it does not interfere with the work environment. Music should be played exclusively through Bluetooth devices or personal headphones. This ensures that only the individual enjoying the music is affected, allowing others to maintain their focus. Employees are encouraged to keep the volume at a reasonable level so it is not audible to others.
No Loud Music or Noise
Loud music or noise is strictly prohibited in shared or open-office areas. This includes music played through speakers or any other disruptive sounds that may affect the comfort and productivity of others. We ask all employees to be considerate and ensure that their actions do not cause unnecessary distractions or disturbances.
General Work Environment
We are committed to building a harmonious and productive work environment. Maintaining a quiet, orderly space is integral to this effort. Employees are expected to adhere to these guidelines as part of their professional conduct, and failure to comply may result in a discussion with management regarding appropriate workplace behavior.
Our goal is to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to thrive in a space that is conducive to both individual and team success. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us build a respectful and professional work culture for all employees.
