Scope
This policy applies to all employees in the media department at Ignition633 Nigeria and outlines expectations for punctuality, purchases, workplace cleanliness, equipment management, and respectful behavior. These rules are essential for maintaining a productive and orderly work environment.
Policy Statement
Timely
Arriving on time to work and from breaks is critically essential. Please inform your director if you are running late or need more time to come to work. Corrective actions will be taken if you are tardy or absent without notice.
No Idle Hands
Stay focused and on task during work hours. If you are without a, please show initiative and ask your Supervisor for direction (Ephesians 5:15-16).
Purchases
The Media Director approves all projects and material purchases before they are made. Items must be purchased on the same day funds are released. All purchases require a receipt. Receipts and balances must be turned in on the same day of purchase.
Events
You are responsible for all media equipment in your care; missing items after events may lead to penalties and fines. Be kind and assertive when interacting with others, always obtaining consent from anyone "on-screen" at events or on campus. Do not chew gum during events, especially when operating media equipment or on camera
Time Management
You’ll work on various projects and events, so manage your time carefully to stay on track. You’re allowed two 15-minute mental breaks to refocus—Inform leadership when you take them. Use this time to connect with the Lord and be intentional in your daily devotion
Keep a Workplace Clean
The Housekeeping department cleans the media office once every week but before the office cleaning day, make sure your workspace stays clean, especially with proper item arrangements.
Facility
Residential houses are for those residences only. Do not go into any residential house without the permission of the owners. Workspaces such as the Shop and kitchen are off-limits unless accompanied by leadership or for specific project purposes.
Equipment
No one is permitted to use media equipment except trained media staff. Please immediately notify the leadership of any issue with equipment.
Theft Prevention and Property Protection
No materials from the ministry's facility should be taken home. The ministry has theft prevention measures such as CCTV, and security checks upon entry and exit. Any missing or damaged equipment due to carelessness could result in immediate penalization, a potential fine, or termination.
Attitude
Always be kind and assertive when dealing with people. Always ask for consent or permission from anyone"on-screen. Please refrain from chewing gum at events, while on camera, or when operating media equipment, as it is unprofessional.
Report Incidents Immediately
If you notice a problem in your office or with your gadgets, please don't ignore it. Instead, report it to your Supervisor immediately. Fill out an incident report form or verbally inform your Supervisor.
Relationship Focus
Working together as a team is highly encouraged! You are expected to be a "team player" with your department and encouraged to build relationships with everyone on campus (as they will want to with you!).
Assists
When job tasks are limited, media employees must assist coworkers and actively develop skills across all media fields (e.g., photography, videography, content creation, social media) to be well-rounded team players. Failure to comply will result in immediate job re-evaluation.
At Events
Before Each Event
- Meet with your supervisor on a game plan of what the Ignition633 Nigeria Media Department needs from this event.
- Come with appropriate gear and dress code, ready to capture what is needed.
