Scope
This policy applies to the Media Coordinator and outlines the specific responsibilities associated with the role. Additionally, the policy serves as a guide for the ministry's employees engaged in media-related tasks.
Policy Statement
Media Planning
Develop media strategies and plans to promote products, services, or campaigns. This involves identifying target audiences, selecting appropriate media channels, and allocating budgets.
Media Purchases
Collaborate with media vendors and negotiate contracts to secure advertising space or airtime. This includes assessing media rates, evaluating proposals, and optimizing media schedules to reach the desired audience.
Campaign Management
This involves coordinating with creative teams to develop compelling content, ensuring the timely delivery of assets, and monitoring campaign performance.
Market Research
Conduct market research and analyze audience data to inform media strategies. This may involve studying market trends, competitor analysis, and audience demographics to identify effective media channels and messaging.
Performance Analysis
Track and analyze the performance of media campaigns, including key metrics such as reach, impressions, click-through rates, and conversions.
Budget Management
This includes developing budgets, tracking expenses, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and providing regular reports on budget utilization.
Relationship Management
Build and maintain good relationships with media partners, agencies, and vendors. This includes coordinating with media sales representatives, managing contracts and agreements, and resolving issues or discrepancies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, creative, public relations, and sales to align media strategies with broader organizational goals.
Stay Updated
Keep up-to-date with industry trends, emerging media technologies, and changes in consumer behavior.
Weekly Task
Management
This entails overseeing all media staff and managing media budgets. Other aspects of this include;
- Assigning daily tasks to members of the department.
- Supervising tasks assigned to various members of the Media department
- Carrying out quarterly performance reviews of each media staff for the Media Director
- Attending supervisory meetings as a representative of the Ignition633 Nigeria media and reporting progress on behalf of members.
- Carefully handling funds for the media department; you should report to the Campus Director daily for all financial needs and requests
and thoroughly communicate with the Director of Media for any purchase.
Content Creation
- Research recent happenings and the most engaging posts for social media
- Create content drafts for social media and newsletter posts
- Edit all media content before forwarding it to the Media Director
- Conduct Live interviews for all Ignition633 Nigeria Media platforms.
Create accounts on multiple platforms
The ministry already has accounts on relevant social media platforms. Your supervisor will notify you when another account needs to be created on a new platform. Communicate the need to create a new account with your supervisor. Having an account on multiple platforms extends your reach. Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and YouTube are among the most popular for business.
Engage with your audience
Ways to engage your social media audience include:
- Answering their questions
- Asking them questions to get opinions
- Creating games, they can play
- Organize contests
- Offer exclusive discounts and promotions (where applicable)
- Recognize customers especially
- Allow audience-generated content
- Reflect a Christlike attitude and personality in all your posts.
Create quality content
Your target audience is more likely to engage with relatable, creative content that informs. Consider also creating content designed for each platform; for example, a video may perform best on YouTube and Facebook, while photos are best suited for Instagram.
Event Coordination
- Before the event, meet with all photo-videographers you have assigned to the event, making sure they are prepared with their gear and a game plan of what to capture.
- At the event, be polite yet assertive in ensuring your team has the space and availability to capture what they need.
- After the event, follow up with the photo-videographers assigned to ensure they have their gear and follow camera maintenance protocol.
