Purpose
The Photo-Videographer Responsibilities policy outlines the key roles and duties expected from employees involved in photography and videography within the Ministry. The policy aims to ensure the production of high-quality visual content that meets the creative, promotional, and documentation needs of the Ignition 633 Nigeria. By providing clear guidelines, this policy helps standardize the capturing, editing, and managing of visual media while promoting professionalism and efficiency.

Scope
This policy applies to all photo-videographers working with or for Ignition633 Nigeria. It encompasses media activities like photography, videography, equipment management, collaboration, and continuous learning. The policy addresses the technical and creative aspects of capturing, editing, producing visual content, and maintaining and managing equipment. It also covers communication and teamwork, ensuring alignment with project goals, and encourages ongoing development to stay current with trends and technology.

Policy Statement
Photography
- Capturing high-quality photographs that align with the objectives and requirements of the project or assignment.

Using technical skills to manipulate lighting, composition, focus, and other elements to create visually appealing images.

Conducting photo shoots for events, products, portraits, or other subjects as directed.

Selecting and editing the best shots, enhancing visuals, and applying post-production techniques when necessary.

Maintaining an organized and accessible library of digital photos.

Videography
- Recording video footage using professional cameras, equipment, and techniques.
- Plan and execute video shoots for interviews, promotional videos, documentaries, or other multimedia projects.
- Managing aspects of video production, including framing, lighting, sound, and camera movement.
- Editing and post-processing video footage to create a final polished product.
- Incorporating graphics, effects, and other elements to enhance the visual impact of the videos.

Equipment Management
- Maintaining and organizing photography and videography equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting equipment, and accessories.

Ensuring equipment is in good working condition, properly stored, and ready for use.

Keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and technology in photography and videography equipment and suggesting necessary upgrades or purchases.

Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborating with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Participating in meetings, briefings, and discussions to contribute ideas and provide input on visual content creation.

Communicating effectively and professionally with subjects during photo shoots or video recordings to ensure a comfortable and cooperative environment.

Providing regular updates to supervisors or team leads regarding project progress, challenges, and potential solutions.

Creative Development and Learning
- Staying informed about industry trends, techniques, and emerging technologies in photography and videography.

Weekly Task
Editing/Retouching/Digital Processing
- Editing and correcting photos and videos from all events.
 NOTE: The Ministry's editing software is mainly Adobe Creative Cloud [Photoshop, Lightroom, Premier Pro, After Effects, etc.]
Reviewing other digital processors' edits, ensuring all work is unified and synchronized.
Moderately complicated retouching, especially for events with bad lighting and possible Compositing of images.
Perform administrative tasks, communicating with your supervisor on all tasks given.

Research
- Research and continually keep up-to-date with the latest Adobe software editing tools. In your time, you are not at events or editing. You are researching.
Improving your skills by implementing what you are learning in research.
