Purpose
This policy outlines the weekly duties and responsibilities of photo-videographers at Ignition633 Nigeria. It ensures that all tasks related to media production, including editing, research, and event coverage, are conducted professionally and in alignment with the ministry’s standards.
Scope
This policy applies to all photo-videographers within Ignition633 Nigeria. It covers the expectations for editing and digital processing using Adobe Creative Cloud, collaboration with coworkers, skill development through research, and proper conduct at events. Additionally, it highlights the importance of teamwork and outlines the procedures for handling media equipment and content after events.
Policy Statement
Editing/Retouching/Digital Processing
- Editing and correcting photos and videos from all events.
NOTE: The Ministry's editing software is mainly Adobe Creative Cloud [Photoshop, Lightroom, Premier Pro, After Effects, etc.]
- Reviewing other digital processors' edits, ensuring all work is unified and synchronized.
- Moderately complicated retouching, especially for events with bad lighting and possible Compositing of images.
- Perform administrative tasks, communicating with your supervisor on all tasks given.
Research
- Research and continually keep up-to-date with the latest Adobe software editing tools. In your time, you are not at events or editing. You are researching.
- Improving your skills by implementing what you are learning in research.
Important
When job tasks are limited, media employees must assist coworkers and actively develop skills across all media fields (e.g., photography, videography, content creation, social media) to be well-rounded team players. Failure to comply will result in immediate job re-evaluation
At Events
Before Each Event
- Meet with your supervisor on a game plan of what the Ignition633 Nigeria Media Department needs from this event.
- Come with appropriate gear and dress code, ready to capture what is needed.
- Be polite to those around you (Observe the room to know where you should be).
- Bring every piece of equipment back and load all content immediately onto Media Computers (See Media Process Maintenance for more detailed information).
- Improving your skills by implementing what you are learning in research.
