Workplace Safety Policy
Purpose:
This policy establishes safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure working environment for all ministry personnel and visitors while ensuring compliance with federal safety regulations.
Scope:
This policy applies to all ministry facilities, vehicles, and off-site ministry activities, covering all staff, volunteers, missionaries, and visitors engaged in ministry-related activities.

Facility Safety:
Regular inspections ensure facilities meet safety standards and identify potential hazards. All areas must maintain clear emergency exits, proper lighting, and appropriate safety equipment.
Training Requirements:
Safety orientation is mandatory for new personnel, with quarterly refresher training. Training covers emergency procedures, equipment operation, and hazard identification.
Emergency Procedures:
Written emergency plans detail evacuation routes and response protocols. Staff must know emergency contacts and maintain current first aid supplies.
Equipment Safety:
All ministry equipment undergoes regular maintenance and safety checks. Only trained personnel may operate specialized equipment.
Incident Reporting:
All accidents or safety concerns require immediate supervisor notification. Written incident reports must be completed within 24 hours.
Safety Compliance:
Required safety notices are displayed in visible locations. Safety regulations are reviewed annually and updated as needed.
Medical Response:
First aid kits are maintained in accessible locations. At least one CPR-certified staff member is present during operating hours.
Documentation:
Records of training, inspections, and incidents are maintained for five years. Monthly safety reviews ensure ongoing compliance.
