Purpose
To ensure the security, safety, and professionalism of gate guards on campus. It outlines the procedures for managing access to the premises, maintaining a hazard-free work environment, and minimizing distractions during duty hours. The policy aims to protect the Ministry’s assets and personnel while upholding high standards of conduct.
Scope
This policy applies to all gate guards employed by the Ministry. It covers regulations related to restricted area access, mandatory training, workplace hazards, and restrictions on distractions such as cellphone use, eating, or sleeping during duty hours. Compliance is mandatory for all gate guards to ensure a secure and efficient work environment.
Definitions
Safety: The condition of being safe from undergoing or causing hurt, injury, or loss
Ignition Leadership: International Directors, Campus Director, Chief of Staff and Supervisors
Safety Information
Restricted Area:
- No unapproved personnel are allowed on campus. Ignition Leadership needs to approve any visitor coming to campus. The updated approved person's list also includes the staff allowed on campus.
Training:
- All gate guards are trained appropriately. If retraining is needed, contact your supervisor to schedule an appointment with HR.
Hazards:
Work areas must be clean and clear of materials throughout the day to avoid tripping hazards. Water pipes must be neatly wrapped on the provided woodwork beside the wall around the work area.
Distractions:
No cellphone use, eating, or sleeping during the shift. They are only permitted on break.

This policy will be reviewed annually and is subject to change. Any changes will be communicated to all employees promptly.
