Purpose

Scope
The policy applies to all iron benders working on Ignition 633 Nigeria construction sites, including those responsible for cutting, bending, and fixing iron bars for reinforced concrete structures.
Responsibilities
Reading and interpreting blueprints
Iron benders must be able to understand and interpret construction blueprints and drawings to determine the size, shape, and placement of iron bars.
Fabricating iron bars
Iron benders use specialized tools and equipment to bend, shape, and cut iron bars according to the specifications provided in the blueprints.
Reinforcing structures
Iron benders install iron bars or reinforce steel to concrete structures to give strength and support.
Using measuring tools
Iron benders use measuring tools such as tape measures, levels, and plumb bobs to ensure accuracy and precision in their work. They measure and mark the correct locations for bending and cutting iron bars.
Following safety protocols
Iron benders must follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to protect themselves and others on the job site. This includes wearing gloves, safety glasses, hard hats, and steel-toed boots.
Collaborating with construction teams
Iron Bender works closely with other construction professionals, including contractors, engineers, and architects.
Inspecting and maintaining tools
