Policy - Campus Standards
Section: Human Resource Policies
Policy Owner: Ignition633 Ministries Nigeria Human Resources
Policy Name: Campus Standards Policy
Origination Date: December 2024
Purpose
The purpose of the Campus Standards Policy is to cultivate a disciplined, Christlike, and harmonious living environment within Ignition633 Ministries Nigeria. This policy provides clear guidelines for spiritual practices, meals, and acceptable behavior to uphold the ministry’s values and ensure residents contribute to a positive and spiritually enriching campus experience.
Scope
This policy applies to all residents of the Ministry's campus and governs their participation in spiritual activities, meal times, and music practices. It includes expectations for observing quiet hours, participating in prayer, worship, and Bible study, and maintaining respect during shared activities.
Prayer Call
Quiet time
Every resident is expected to observe a quiet time in the early morning hours, meaning there shouldn't be unnecessary noise like the banging of doors and shouting on the campus.
Prayer call
After dinner, an everyday prayer call follows immediately by 6:00 pm from Monday to Friday. You are expected to take only one day off for prayer; everyone must be at the dining table five [5] minutes before the time to avoid distractions.
Worship
Immediately after the prayer, worship occurs outside the campus dining room.
Bible study
On Fridays, all residents are required to attend bible study from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Church Service
- Ignition633 holds her church service every Sunday at 9 am on campus, and all residents are expected to attend.
- If you would not be present in the church, prayer call, or any required meeting, kindly seek permission from the campus director and ensure permission is granted before you are absent.
Meal
Breakfast
Breakfast time is 7:30 am to 8 am. Residents who didn't get their meals during this time can come with their containers to get meals instead of occupying the dining room during work hours to avoid distractions.
Dinner
Dinner starts from 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm. All residents must maintain the discipline of being early and on time for meals to avoid distorting other programs.
Music
Acceptable Content
- Residents are encouraged to enjoy gospel songs that explicitly give glory to God, promoting themes of worship, praise, and spiritual enrichment.
- Gospel songs that inspire positive messages and align with the values of the ministry are welcomed.
Music Volume
- Residents are requested to be mindful of the volume of their music to ensure that it does not disturb other residents, both in shared spaces and within individual living units.
- During designated quiet hours (e.g., evenings and early mornings), residents are expected to lower the volume of their music to maintain a peaceful atmosphere for everyone.
- To avoid disturbing neighbors, residents are encouraged to use headphones, especially in shared spaces or during quiet hours.
- In shared spaces, residents should collaborate to find a balance that allows everyone to enjoy their preferred music genres without causing discomfort to others.
