Purpose
The purpose of rules and expectations in a protocol officer's policy is to guide behavior, ensure order and respect during official events, help things run smoothly, and make sure everyone follows proper procedures and standard
Scope
Includes setting behavior standards, guiding how events should be conducted, making sure rules are followed, organizing event procedures, ensuring respect, and helping events run smoothly.
Definition
Rules: specific instructions or guidelines that tell people what they can and cannot do in a particular situation.
Expectations: beliefs or standards about how someone should behave or perform in a given situation.
Rules and Expectations
Timely: Arriving to work and from breaks on time is critically essential. Please contact your supervisor if you are running late or need more time to come to work. Be informed that, corrective actions will be taken if you are tardy or absent without notice.
No Idle Hands: Stay focused and on task during work hours. If you need a task, please be sure to show initiative and ask your Supervisor for direction (Ephesians 5:15-16).
Purchase: The Campus Director approves all projects and material purchases before they are made. Items must be purchased on the same day funds are released. All purchases require a receipt. Receipts and balances must be turned in on the same day of purchase.
Theft prevention and property protection: No materials from the ministry's facility should be taken home. The ministry has put some measures in place to prevent theft. They include; inventory checks, CCTV, and security checks upon entry and exit.
Attitude: Always be professional and kind when working with people. During guest arrival, endeavor to increase your productivity and make the guest stay more pleasurable. Do not insist on offering guests anything if they refuse to take it, as it may be rude.
Report incidence immediately: If you notice a problem within the Campus, please don't ignore it. Instead, report it to the Campus Director immediately. Fill out an incident report form or verbally inform your Supervisor. Actions can only be taken quickly if the management knows about the problem.
