Section: Human Resource Policies
Policy Owner: Ignition633 Ministries Nigeria Human Resources
Policy Name: Driver Rules & Regulations Policy
Origination Date: July2024
Definition:
Rules: One of a set of explicit or understood regulations or principles governing conduct or procedure within a particular area of activity.
Regulations: a rule or directive made and maintained by an authority.
Timely:
- Arrive to work and from breaks on time. Contact your supervisor in advance if you are running late or can not come to work. Disciplinary actions will be taken if you are tardy or absent without notice.
No Idol Hands:
- Stay focused and on task during working hours. If you are without a task, show initiative and ask for direction from your supervisor.
Maintenance:
- Maintenance inspection forms are to be completed weekly and submitted to your supervisor.
Theft Prevention:
- No materials from our facility are to be taken home. Measures in place to prevent theft are inventory checks, CCTV, and security checks upon entry and exit.
Remain In Your Vehicle During Trips:
- Remain in/with the vehicle at all times during travel and while at destination. This includes during short trips to the store and market. Remain in the vehicle and ensure the AC remains on while the vehicle is running to keep the car cool for short trips. For long trips, seek instruction for where drivers and security rest stations are located.
Theft Prevention:
- All ministry vehicles are equipped with a tracking device. Keys to all vehicles must be turned in at the end of each day. Keys are placed in a secured lock box.
On Duty:
- Do not "hang out" or rest in the vehicles while on duty. Vehicles should only be entered when doing maintenance, stocking items, cleaning, or during times of transport. If you are waiting for your next driving appointment, please wait in the designated area.
