Section: Human Resource Procedures
Procedure Owner: Ignition633 Ministries Nigeria Human Resources
Procedure Name: Securing Premises Procedure
Origination Date: July 2024

Definition:
"Securing premises involves implementing comprehensive physical and procedural measures to protect against unauthorized access and potential threats and ensure the safety of personnel, assets, and information within the designated area."

How To Secure The Premises:
The Lord is the first line of defense for the ministry's campus property. However, the gate guard is a physical defense against any illegal activity or external threat. Your role is of the utmost importance, and your preventative measures are instrumental in deterring crime and maintaining safety for everyone. Here are key responsibilities and guidelines for effective security management:

Patrol Premises:
Do not stay in one place for too long when working. Please always patrol your environment and make sure that it is safe. Regularly making the rounds will help ensure the safety of personnel and premises and prevent damage, burglary, and other unexpected occurrences.

Monitor Premises:
Always be alert and monitor and observe the environment you protect. If necessary, investigate or call for help from the security guards.

Control Access:
Control access for employees, visitors, and outside contractors and ensure only authorized individuals can access the Ministry's property.

Inspection:
Inspect buildings and ensure doors and access points are properly locked up and secured.

Communication:
Communicate effectively and efficiently at all times.
