Staff Arrival Policy

Purpose:
To establish clear guidelines for employee arrival times, ensuring punctuality, consistency, and operational efficiency.

Scope:
This policy applies to all employees. It covers arrival times, attendance verification, shift handovers, special instructions, emergency protocols, time-off requests, and absence reporting.

Policy:

Handover Communication:
Outgoing staff must provide a thorough and detailed handover report to incoming staff. This includes information about each child's status, any special needs or concerns, recent activities, meal schedules, and any significant incidents or changes in behavior that occurred during the previous shift.

Attendance Verification:
Incoming staff need to verify the children's attendance, ensuring that all children who are supposed to be in the facility are accounted for.

Special Instructions:
If any special instructions were provided for individual children, this is to be communicated clearly and followed by incoming staff.

Emergency:
If an emergency arises and you can come into work, notify your supervisor immediately.

Time-Off Request:
When needing time off or anticipating lateness, it is important to follow the proper protocol by proactively informing your supervisor without waiting for them to reach out first. Contact HR for further clarification if you have any inquiries.
