Purpose
This policy outlines the rules and responsibilities that the construction unit must observe to ensure the effective management of construction sites. The foreman’s role is critical in maintaining safety, productivity, and overall project success.

Scope
This policy applies to all construction foremen employed by Ignition 633 Nigeria. It includes guidelines on conduct, timeliness, idleness,  supervision, tidiness, purchases, theft prevention, and administrative duties.

Policy Statement
Timeliness
Arriving at work and returning from breaks on time is essential for maintaining productivity and project timelines. Contact your supervisor if you are running late or can not come to work. Disciplinary actions will be taken if you are tardy or absent without notice.

No Idle Hands
You must stay focused and ensure that all team members are actively engaged in their tasks during work hours. If you are without a task, take the initiative to seek direction from your supervisor. Ephesians 5:15-16.

Keep A Tidy Site 
A clean and organized worksite is essential for safety and efficiency, construction work is messy. Address potential hazards such as slips and trips promptly to prevent accidents. 

Follow Safety Signs And Procedures
 As a construction employee, you must follow construction safety signs and procedures. Ensure that safety rules are clearly explained to you by the foreman or your supervisor.

Report Incidents Immediately
If you notice a problem, report it to your Supervisor Immediately and fill out an incident report form. The sooner Problems are resolved the less chance for an accident to occur.

Never Temper With Equipment
Do not tamper with equipment without authorization. If something is not working right, report to your supervisor. Do not attempt to fix defective equipment unless you are competent.

If in Doubt, Ask
Not sure about what to do or how to do something safely, do you think something is wrong? Stop working, and ask.
It is better to be safe than sorry. 

Purchases
Items must be purchased on the same day funds are released and receipts given. Receipts and balances must be turned in on the same day of purchase.

Theft Prevention
No work equipment should be taken out of the premises without the approval of the Project Manager. Raw materials and construction equipment should never be taken home.
