Section: Human Resource Policies
Policy Owner: Ignition633 Ministries Nigeria Human Resources
Policy Name: Rules and Expectations Policy
Origination Date: November 2024

Purpose
This Rules and Expectations Policy establishes guidelines for architectural engineers to maintain workplace professionalism, productivity, and integrity. All team members must adhere to these standards to ensure a productive and secure work environment.

Scope
This policy applies to all architectural engineers working within the ministry. It outlines essential workplace expectations, conduct, and specific protocols that align with organizational values and operational efficiency.

1. Timeliness and Attendance
Work Hours: Architectural engineers work from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a one-hour break.
Punctuality: Arriving at work and returning from breaks on time is essential. If you anticipate being late or unable to come to work, please notify your supervisor as early as possible.
Corrective Action: Tardiness or unnotified absences may lead to corrective measures, including disciplinary action.

2. Work Focus (No Idle Hands)
- Productivity: All employees are expected to remain focused and engaged with their tasks throughout working hours.
- Initiative: If you complete your assigned tasks or need additional guidance, you can proactively seek direction from your supervisor (Ephesians 5:15-16) to maximize productivity and contribute to team goals.

3. Project Approval and Purchasing Protocol
- Purchase Authorization: The Chief of Staff must approve all projects and material purchases in advance.
- Timely Procurement: Once funds are released for an approved purchase, items must be procured on the same day.
- Documentation: Retain all receipts and promptly submit receipts and any remaining balance to the accounting department or supervisor on the same day as the purchase. This ensures transparency and accountability.

4. Theft Prevention and Property Protection
- Ministry Property Use: No materials, tools, or other items belonging to the ministry may be taken home or used for personal purposes.
- Security Measures: The ministry has instituted security protocols to prevent theft, including inventory checks, CCTV monitoring, and security checks upon entering and exiting the facility. Compliance with these measures is required to maintain a secure environment.

5. Professional Attitude and Guest Interaction
- Professional Conduct: All employees must maintain a professional, respectful, and courteous demeanor, especially when interacting with co-workers or clients.

Incident Reporting
- Prompt Reporting: If you observe an issue or potential hazard within the campus or the construction site, report it to the Campus Director or Project Manager immediately.
- Incident Documentation: Complete an incident report form or verbally inform your supervisor. Prompt reporting allows management to address issues quickly and maintain a safe, efficient work environment.

Compliance
Failure to adhere to these rules and expectations may lead to corrective actions, including verbal or written warnings, suspension, or termination, depending on the severity of the infraction.
